Glacier covers have been around for several years, but even the latest generation may be improved upon significantly. We have set ourselves the task of constructing a completely new insulation cover foil that preserves glaciers, snow storages and other snowed surfaces, while retaining its whiteness and has the facility of being easily removed at the end of summer to be reused at a later stage. This special cover foil with dedicated snow anchors, that we have developed and tested in the field extensively, is produced in the Tyrol; see image. Moreover, we have constructed a new ski piste grooming device that produces pistes to World Cup standards, without the need of additional water, and this invention, for example, may be deployed with success in glacial ski regions. |
